New paper led by Bryan Shaddy on the dispersion of sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is featured on the cover of Physical Review Letters! We show that ice dispersion is controlled by collisions between floes as they respond to turbulent winds, establishing several connections between sea ice motion and stochastic granular dynamics.
